Coming of Age…

Well my wisdom tooth has decided to make an appearance… I know Coming of Age is difficult , but this really painful.. When I told people my agony ridden situation , they decided to regale me with the teeth horror stories… what happened to “congrats” I wonder. I think my blogs and wisdom are interconnected, the minute I tell everybody how I feel, my tooth pops out.

I was watching the HBO movie “ Door to Door” yesterday. For the unknown, its about a person affected by cerebral palsy from birth , who makes it as a salesman . Talk about feeling alone, this guy has to sell soap to the worst route of the Watkins company. It struck me, (physically too- my roomie thru an apple at my head -again painfully wisdom dawned ) The amount of cribbing I was doing about the attitudinal problems of some of my colleagues did not even hold a candle to what this guy went through .This guy really immersed himself into their lives such that the entire neighborhood was connected through him..thats inspirational to me !!

Somehow I feel we require these inspirational stories- atleast once in a while to get us out of our normal humdrum life and try to make something special out of life. Atleast people must think of you with the smile on their face. Well so I am going to try and do something abt it…starting this post I will end most of my posts with my favorite joke for the week/month /day…atleast ppl will read my blog with a smile on their face.

“Eleven people were hanging on a rope under a helicopter, ten men and one woman. The rope was not strong enough to carry them all, so they decided that one has to leave, otherwise they are all going to fall. They were not able to name that person, until the woman held a very touching speech.
She said that she will voluntarily let go of the rope, because as a woman she is used to giving up everything for her husband and kids, or for men in general, without ever getting anything in return. As soon as she finished her speech, all the men started clapping their hands.......”

PS: Guys don’t start giving me nasty comments, I couldn’t resist

Hi, thanks for visiting my blogsite. I have posted some more blogs and would like to have your opinion.

Meanwhile the story of the movie was good and yeah it is nice to draw inspiration from such movies and always it is best to reconcile ourselves in moments of depression that there are people even much worse and much more misfortunate than us.

Regarding your joke, to be frankly suddenly i had a doubt whether i had a nice bath in the morning because my body was getting a bit scratchy after the joke. anyway nice to begin a day with a moral and a humour.......

Take care of the wisdom tooth, I got mine exactly a year ago and had to get it extracted, ouch.
